Run AWAY from Telkom!

Since last week Sunday we've had big problems with our internet, it is intermittent, it is so slow, and after a lot of calls it is still not sorted. This isn't even the first time I am complaining about their sick excuse of "service." But just please don't pay one day late because they are very fast with cutting lines but not so fast with fixing their pathetic lines.

After hundreds of calls, a technician came out - but five hours after he left my line was totally off again. After another call, still not fixed. After asking the "online forces" on facebook what is going on- they advised me that a technician will be here on the 14th, which is today. So yes, I moved some stuff around and made sure I'll ne available the whole day; but to my utter surprise (not), no technician pitched.

How pathetic is this? And to crown it all- when we forget to pay our bill- by only one day, they cut it, but we should sit around and wait for them to fix it patiently because they THINK there is nothing we can do- luckily there is... And then- we should waste our time and money to phone them and claim money back for weeks of no internet... Such an irritating service provider- I have a job to do, I have to go on the internet to do my job, I don't have time to sit and wait for them to not show up to not fix my internet. We are all grown ups here, we know that when someone pay us to do something we must actually deliver on that payment- that is called- a contract- which we are dealing with here. If it isn't your fault but Open Serve's fault- kindly let me know so I can complain about them on here as well! It will be so nice Telkom, if you can actually fix my line so I can do my job like I'm supposed to without having the need to call you every five minutes.

Hi corne-vh-claasen

We are sorry to hear this. Thank you for making contact with us and bringing this to our attention.

This response serves as confirmation that your query has been received. I have attempted making direct contact with no success. The fault reference 644CTK061117 indicates the tech attended yesterday and indicated the fault has been resolved. May we please request to reply to this private message and confirm the status of the ADSL line when possible.

Hi Keegan. Sorry for not answering I've been in meetings since this morning. Yes the line has been fixed yesterday, and it's all good and well. But the fact remains that the system on how you operate is a bit faulty I think- I think the essence of my message was not only that I haven't had any internet for days, but that when we are a bit late with a payment Telkom cuts our line- and then we have to lie on their heads to make sure they connect it again, but if the problem is on your side- we still have to call and beg for someone to come to our rescue. And after spending a lot of money again on buying data to commumicate with you guys, and phoning the call centre, we are at a loss again this month financially, just because of our Telkom line- and to top that- we have to now contact the call centre again to assure credit on our account, and not the other way round. I know that I'm not your only customer, and I know that if I leave you won't even feel a difference, but I think for the sake of Telkom if I look at all the complaints on HelloPeter, it is necessary to look into your service level. It is a big headache to deal with your call centre on a daily basis, but because of the infrastructure we are forced to do so. Thanks for the reply, have a great day.
