Rude Employees = More Marketing

I have been trying to get assistance to firstly move a line over to a new address as we are moving but everyone in the department keeps providing us with different information. IS THERE NO ONE in the company who is knowledgeable enough to provide sufficient information so that an informed decision may be made? One would think after all these years Telkom have improved on their service but it seems like the only thing which improved was the marketing of the product.

I called the call centre today 3 times to get help to migrate another contract to a higher package and during the first two calls I was told to call back as the systems were down which I could accept however on the 3rd call I spoke to Sbonga who was arrogant and rude, it took Sbonga a whole 2 minutes just to greet and acknowledge the client who was waiting on the other side. The client should never greet first, is this not basic telephone etiquette? In all honesty for a telecomms company the telephone etiquette is really atrocious to say the least. I was told by Sbonga at 03:35 that his manager was in a meeting, this is a Mr Zakhele Mashaba who I have asked to call me back. Is this the actual managers’ name and will he ever call? Seriously Telkom instead of wasting money on the branding and advertising, spend money on the call centre staff, they are the first point of contact a client makes and if they cannot portray professionalism, there are other companies that will provide better. just a TIP - if you improve your customer service and telephone etiquette (which is cost effective) you will need to spend less money on your awesome branding campaigns.
