Router sent Back For a Wobbly antenna, Telkom Says The mother board is Bent Cant be Repaired (it was working with the wobbly antenna)

Just the other week, i took back a router i bought not too long ago. one of the antennas on the router was loose and could not be made to stay in place. when i got to the store, the wise and know it all consultant suggested that i broke the thing. i was furious with this young fellow but decided to keep it in. Eventually he booked the item for its warranty as it should be. today i get a call from telkom advising that the mother board is burnt due to lightning and that it is beyond economical repair. therefore they will return it to the store and i must buy a new one. how did we go from antenna to motherboard. the router was still working when i took it to the store and now telkom is taking me for a ride. If they can not Repair Then they must replace.
