****** by Telkom
I went into store to see if I had a warranty on my phone since I broke my screen. Huawei charged me R2500 to fix it, but the telkom agent said it would be cheaper to do an early upgrade and get a new phone. I pay R500 a month for my contract and I had 10 months left, so when she informed me I could pay out the entire contract for R1500 I was confused. I insisted that she double check, then I asked that she check again and show me the numbers. On screen, it said R1500. So I upgraded my contract.
The next month, R750 was taken from my account. my old contract + my new contract!!! I phoned instore and insisted to see the agent that assisted me. She told me that she had no clue what happened, and remembered the encounter clearly when she told me the prices and even helped pick out my phone. The manager, Zuhair Jacobs, said that I should send him a formal email and he'd escalate the matter. I left the store and sent the email. He totally ignored my enquiry and insisted I misunderstood, even though the lady who helped me instore told him what happened. They have ignored me since.
