Retentions department

I requested that my Telkom LTE account be cancelled due to me immigrating to NZ. This was done at the Telkom Store in Oak Street, Centurion. I then received an email from the retention department with the settlement letter with the amount due on 15 June 2016. On that same day I settled the account and sent the proof of payment to ********** and ********** as stated in the email. I then received a response on 15 June 2016 "Automatic reply: My Proof Of Account Settlement & Cancellation Request_ ********** 72". On 5 July 2016 I received an email with an invoice for my Telkom LTE service for the following month. The amount was then decucted against the credit that is shown on my account for the payment that I made for the settlement of the account. Subsequently my account has not been cancelled according to Telkom and no-one is able to tell me why. I am now located in New Zealand and it is very difficult to interact with Telkom SA. I need this sorted and no-one at Telkom can help me - how can this be?

I have received an email from Telkom:

Good day

Please provide us with the LTE number for further assistant.

Kind regards

This shows that they don't know whats going on since I have supp**** them with the reference number in my first review. What does this mean: Automatic reply: My Proof Of Account Settlement & Cancellation Request_5 0 1 3 3 7 8 7 2

The LTE number is : ***

Now Telkom will probably tell me that the account has not been cancelled and is awaiting my cancellation request

Another week has now passed without hearing anything from Telkom. How difficult can this cancellation request be?
