Repair Service Complaint

On the 31st August 2020 I purchased a TP-Link mobile router from Telkom The Glen Mall for my daughter that had to go back to the UNW. She started using it late in September, and she returned back home end of November and started using our home router. On the 31st December she went to visit her gran and took her mobile router with, only to discover that the battery life is now even shorter (less than an hour) she charged it again to double check and still it only lasted less than an hour. She then informed me I went and tried it myself to find the same result. I then took it to the store on the 03rd Jan 2021, where I was first send to another branch for assessment to later be sent back to the very first branch where I initially bought and took the unit from. The young man told me that it would take 21 days for the unit to be repaired, and it will take an extra week because the supplier is only opening on the 11th Jan. I requested to speak to someone Senior to try and get an alternative as my daughter had to go back to the University on the 04 as per the message we received on the 31st Dec. I spoke to a lady that did not want to talk too much but she just said 21 days and that's it, I requested that they call a manager for me and I was told she is off duty and doesn't speak to customers when not at work. I then suggested that they call a Regional Manager for me, seeing that I was really pushing for the Regional Manager, only then the branch manager was called, she told me the supplier will open on the 14th Jan which adds two more days to what I was initially told. She also told me that I must either book my unit for repair or wait for the 14th and come back to book it in then. I asked the lady that was in front of me to call the Regional Manager (Fezeka) who then promised to get the unit repaired within two weeks, however I should understand that it takes 21 days and should it be not back in two weeks I must wait for 21 days. I know TP-Link to be replacing their faulty units and having to wait for 3 weeks for repair on something that is 4 months old is totally uncalled for. I want Telkom to replace my unit or I will take it up with the Ombudsman. They can get hold of me, they have my details.
