repair center water damage lies
***
On the 10 of June my phone that is still in warranty had a software issue and was turning off and on. I took it to the repair center at The Bridge Greenacres in Port Elizabeth. The phone was then sent to JNB for repairs. A couple of days i received an sms stating that cost of repairs would be R3600, because it was liquid damage(the phone had never been in any liquid what so ever)...i rep**** to indicate that i could not afford the amount and they should return my phone. I paid the R189.75 and the phone was sent back and delivered on the 23 June to The Bridge Store, i went to collect the phone on the 24 June cause i got the waybill from Courier IT, The store told me i should wait for an sms to collect the phone. fine i left and waited for the sms, a week later i did not receive an sms, so today 30 June i went to collect my phone without the sms, cause how long does it take to send an sms. i gave the waybill and job card to the guy who went and looked for my phone cause i was not leaving without and after 30 mins found my phone. I then took my phone to another repair center, same day 30 June and the guy called me to tell me that the phone was not liquid damaged and the software just needed update and the phone was working fine. the fact that you use liquid damage as an excuse is beyond me. My phone is in warranty and i didn't have to pay anything for software update but now i have to pay R390 for software update you could have done for free. Plus i still had to pay for my phone to be sent back to PE. Your repair center obviously has some unqualified individual who do not know the difference between water damage and software update. I am very disappointed in your service and if this is how you act to make money telling people lies, i do not want a service provider like yourself. as soon as my contract is over i will not use you as a service provider.
