My cellphone contract was renewed end of February. I received the new cellphone 27 February 2020. I was told to capp the line on the 1 March 2020. On the 2nd March I did just that. Calls are recorded so the call will prove that the lady confirmed that the lines are capped. I asked her to make double sure and she did that telling me that she has capped it by 1 cents. End of March I paid an account of over R1400 for my contacts. On the 6 April I received the new statement which now is billed at over R2200. I spoke to different call centre ladies Thabile and the Khumbuzile. I was informed that my contract has subscription due that I'm billed for since December 2019. Apparently then my line was capped and they couldn't be billed but when I renewed my contract I had a spent limit they say and now I'm billed. My understanding is when my account was capped before renewal how could purchases have been made or allowed and as soon as it was renewed there was claims(unknowingly) and then I capped it again as I was told(2 March) and now been told by Khumbuzile that the lady who capped was suppose to tell me that capping will only happen in April 2020(which wasn't shared) and that she sees on the account my number has been charged with subscription since December. Please help me. In this time my belief was that I shoukd have had a smooth account of only the subscription of the contract should be straight because I had capped it should be deducted but now there is an additional cost of over R1260 added to my account. Money that I don't have or budget for. This is gona reflect my status negatively. Please help me.
