Regret being a client

My wife and I have just been to the Telkom store at Westgate shopping centre to port my wife's number and do a sim swop on my own number . Zonika then said we needed our I'd as well as proof of residence. We did not have proof of residence on our person. My wife showed a bank statement on her phone and they accepted it as proof. My wife had a copy of my truworths account slip which had my addres, I'd number and the cell number I wanted to port on the document and they refused. Zonika said she would get into trouble if she accepted that document as proof of payment. What makes it worse is that I have the SIM card in my phone, reason I needed to do a sim swap was not because I lost my damn SIM. It's because I needed a nano SIM for my new handset. The attitude that zonika had was very poor and it's as if she didn't want to assist. I regret porting my wife's number to stupid Telkom. We should have learnt with this dumb useless company when they let us down 3 times this year already. Just to be clear, my wife's cell number is Rica on my ID number. So how the hell did they do a sim swop with her documents and didn't ask me for physical proof of residence when the SIM is Rica to me?????? Zonika isn't a people's person and should not be dealing with customers..
