Refusal of cancellation.

We cancelled our service over a year ago. We have tried to get our line put into holding every month since then. We have the reference numbers saying sorry to see you go. Telkom point blank refuses to let us out of this contract. Is there a legal route possible to recover all our payments since the reference number confirming our cancellation was sent to us?
