Refund woes from Telkom
In May 2018 we app**** for an ADSL line and before they instq it they check your credit score an if it's not up to their standards they ask you to pay a R700 deposit, and we initially had to pay the deposit. They told us it takes from 14 to 21 working days for the technicians to come and install everything, and of course we wait for the time limit, but after about a month of waiting I sent Telkom a direct message on twitter enquiring about our ADSL line only to be told they cancelled it due to our area not having sufficient lines or something. This was all done without informing us by the way. So, we said ' okay that's fine can we explore the LTE route?' And the told us to go to one of their stores and apply for it, and when we get to the store and explain our situation they tell us we have to call billing and have them re-direct our refund to our account so the first payment will reflect in our invoice and we go he. And call billing who refers us to legal, legal had no idea what we were talking about so we stop calling and I sent a direct message to Telkom about this again. Telkom replies to me a two weeks later and informs us to contact a phone number and speak to a Prudence who will advice us on what to do. When you try to to contact prudence the phone NEVER gets picked up, and the one time it did the person was out and I left a message to please be called back and she never did. It's January 2019 and Prudence has a new number but is still unreachable. I genuinely don't know what to do anymore we are stuck, and how Telkom treated us when all we wanted to be was customers is abysmal. This is Prudence's new number: 031 *** **62
