Putrid Service from Telkom

I have been having the hardest time to get an IT specialist to come to repair my line. I've upgraded twice- first from 10mbps to 20mbps. I went on the 13 July to Cavendish, Telkom to get upgraded to 40mbps. Everything was fine and dandy until the Telkom technicians came on Monday telling me I need a change from an ADSL to a VDSL router. Tuesday I get the router- R1000 later and the internet still doesn't work. Another two technicians come on Wednesday, and they get me online, but only at 15MBPS. They then tell me to call Telkom (10210) because apparently there is a setting that can take me up to 40Mbps and I only have to request it from the consultant. The first call to Telkom, I was told that I can only be put in a port that can provide a maximum of 15mbps. The second call, the consultant tells me to switch off my router (after i told him the technicians struggled to get me back on) and then when he couldn't get me back online, he hangs up! That left me offline FOR ANOTHER DAY! The THIRD call- on the same day, the consultant tells me that my case was closed and nothing was going to be escalated when I was told an IT specialist was informed about my problem. The Friday, the very same two Technicians that came Wednesday do EXACTLY THE SAME THING THEY DID THE WEDNESDAY, but my speed became worse! I called 10210 to speak to a manager to escalate, but it seems the managers are just as useless as the consultants who all have different training apparently.

It's been 8 days. And NOT ONCE DID I GET MORE THAN 15mbps. This is UNACCEPTABLE.

I needed this level of technical requirement for an online job which I have missed and had wasted leave BECAUSE TELKOM CANNOT GET IT TOGETHER!!!

I expect not to be charged the normal premium for the 40mbps Line- as my internet was off Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Saturday I had a speed of 10mbps. Sunday they had an outage the ENTIRE day, and I couldn't do my online teaching and missed out on money.

I am losing out on money and work!
