Put at Risk Personal Information of a Customer

I signed contract documents from Telekom in the its Eastgate branch but when consultant tried to enter the contract electronically, the consultant said that the network was down and promised to load it first thing the following day in the morning and to call me immediately after for collection of the material. The following day, I waited for the call but nothing. And I went there but was asked to make again that long and slow queue, just to be told that that nothing was there. 5 days later without a call from the centre, I went there and after seeing the attitude, I requested to cancel the contract and asked to be given back the signed documents containing my personal information. The consultant refused to give the documents, saying there are Telekom property. I insisted to have them torn. She did tear them but refused to give the pieces of papers. I am since then so worried that if those pieces fall in wrong hands, I am in trouble with all information related to my account, address, cellphone, work... which are used to verify or confirm the identity of the caller by banks and service providers. I am since then so worry, IS THAT TELEKOM STANDARD of treating customers?
