Pro Rata Ripp Off

I upgraded all my cellphone contracts on the 29th June, I got my bill and I was shocked that I got charged for the device for the full month even though I did not have it. Lawfully how can you charge someone for something they dont have, there should be something against this type of *******!!! I was not told, all I got told was about pro rata charges, nothing about oh and your device is going to be charged in full.

If I buy a car on the 29th of the month, do youo think the bank charges me from the 1st of that month, you can only charge someone for something they have. I will take this as far as I can go if I dont get something done about this as no way am I paying for something I did not have. If I was explained this do you think anyone would be dumb enough to upgrade on the 29th of the month, do you think we like to pay for things we dont have??? Money is tight as it is, now having to fork out over R600 for something I didnt have, I am sorry but I am not in the business of giving my hard eanred money away for free. The Ombudsman will be hearing from me if tis is not settled.
