Prescribed/written off debt

I had an account with telkom that I took in 2011, unfortunately I lost my job and I didn’t pay the debt, they never made any contact with me in the past 9 years now when i check my credit report it shows that I’m in arrears with them and the past payment was done on the 31/01/2020 whereas I never made any payment, I believe that this debt is supposed to be prescribed or written off as it’s 0 years old
