Prepaid landline cut off with no communication
Had a call from a rep a few weeks back claiming I must change my landline to a wireless landline and the reason we have landline is because of poor network on mobile devices. The lady said I had to and it was not an option so I told her I would not change unless I see this from telkom because I am not aware of this change. So she said I should disconnect. I told her not to disconnect me and I'll contact telkom. A few days later I messaged the telkom agents on Facebook to explain they responded saying I'm not forced but if there is cable theft in the area I'll be forced to change so I said that's fine then we wont have a option at that time so I'll change but for now we wont change. They assured me that it's all good. Now a few weeks later I notice the landline has been down for a while .. messaged them on Facebook they claim the phone is not disconnected due to non payment ... no call, sms or nothing to advise us we owing money. Aparently they dont send invoices for prepaid landlines anyhow they advised me someone will contact me until now no response from telkom. Yet my mother advised the line had around R500 on it because she was credited for loss of service by telkom so I cannot get an explanation why the line is disconnected. Greedy bast**** want us to change to the new system yet I told them I have 2 landlines one on prepaid and 1 with the weekender plan. I'm sick of dealing with *********** people like telkom. Where is the TIO at this time?? Sleeping??
