Post Paid Contract Moved to Top Up

I originally app**** for 3 contracts with Telkom Mobile, one being "on line", the other 2 at the Telkom Shop.

The contract I app**** for on line, was for my 083 number which was then to be ported to Telkom as soon as the contract had lapsed with my previous service provider, and was supposed to be on the "Free Me" 1GB package with a new handset and a limit set to it on "Post Paid" which was done, as in the first month of me having said contract, I could make calls to numbers that were not Telkom numbers.

The contract was activated around the 15-17th of last month and has worked perfectly........ Until the 1st of this month when I realised I could no longer make calls to numbers on other networks. I called the Customer care line and so the frustration began.

I was told that my 083 number was "Never" on "Post Paid" (Despite the fact that I could call other service providers numbers Without loading any airtime). I can see that this has been a mistake on the side of Telkom, and most likely just something that has occurred with the new month rolling over, as it happened on the 1st of the new month of a new contract........ However, this is NOT what I originally signed up for, as I DID NOT select the "Free Me" 1GB package with the "Top Up" option, I selected the contract with the "Post Paid" option.

I was even called back by a Telkom Telemarketer and asked if the limit that they have set is acceptable. If this was truly a contract with a "Top Up" feature I would NOT have been asked about a limit. Can you please amend my account so that this is BACK to the way I originally ASKED it to be???

Please do NOT call me as I have now given you a complete summary of what has transpired and do not feel like explaining to yet another consultant that just drops the call after putting me on hold to speak to a supervisor 5 times in succession....... Just sort out your MESS and notify me via SMS that you have ACTUALLY done your job CORRECTLY for once.

I would also like to find out why I can NOT set up both of my mail boxes when dialling the appropriate number!!! This can also be sorted out WITHOUT calling me as I do not want to spend another minute on a call to one of your inept consultants that have to query EVERYTHING with a supervisor, as this only tells me they know how to answer the phone, and Nothing else. In essence, No I don't think Telkom Staff are stupid, I just think you have real bad luck when it comes to thinking.

Sort this matter out A.S.A.P. as the 083 number you have moved off of Post Paid is my BUSINESS number.

Thank you.

Regards.

Byron.
