Good afternoon - This mail dd 25/01/2017

This is now becoming a serious problem for me. Look at the number of complaints I have sent through. Yesterday morning I phoned ********** 502 and a lady by the name of Sandra took my call. I explained my problem to her and after a while, where she was going through my information on the computer, she said that she is going to transfer my call to the acting manager. A gentleman with the name ABE.

Mr Abe asked what the problem was and after a lengthy explanation from my side, he said not to worry he will sort it out within 15 minutes and get back to me.

Well, needless to say, another day has passed and Mr Abe has vanished. I phoned the same number this afternoon and a gentleman by the name of Gottfry told me that Mr Abe is out of the office and he will send him an e mail to phone me. This after I had to explain my problem again. Apparently mr Abe is in Bloemfontein, I was under the impression that he is in Johannesburg.

As nobody keeps their promise to return my calls or resolve my problem, it seems that I should take this matter to someone higher than your Department to sort this out for me.

I trust you find my decision in order.

Kind regards

LP Lochner

From: LP Lochner **********
Sent: 24 Januarie 2017 01:14 PM
To: ********** ********** /> Subject: FW: ********** Mr LP Lochner and ********** 732

Good morning

Referring to my e mail below, the following:

Joyce phoned me yesterday morning with regards to the sim swop problem. She asked for how long have I been gone at Vodacom, I told her that I did a sim swop from Vodacom when I went over to Cell C. My Cell C contract was signed 14 June 2013. She said she will have to speak with her IT Department to solve the problem first and will phone me either yesterday afternoon or this morning. Morning has come and gone and I have not heard anything from her.

It seems however that I am not the only one experiencing this problem. One of my employees also took a contract with Telkom, requesting a sim swop. This approximately three weeks ago. Since, she has been to the Telkom store in the Bloemfontein Waterfront twice . She was also told that they cannot assist her with sim swop as they do not have a cable to use on her old phone. The second time she went, they told her that the office cannot do the swop, she must send an e mail to headoffice for they do the swop. They gave her an email address and said she must send a message to ********** She also gets no response from Telkom and the swop has not been done. This e mail was sent 17 Januarty 2017.

I am just asking the question... Is a sim swop at all possible on any Telkom contract??

At this stage I feel like cancelling both mine and my wife’s contract. Nrs ********** and ********** . My employee”s number is ********** .

I trust that the two sim swops will be sorted out asap.

Regards

LP Lochner

From: LP Lochner **********
Sent: 21 Januarie 2017 09:56 AM
To: ********** ********** /> Subject: ********** Mr LP Lochner and ********** 732

Good morning

I want to lodge a complaint on the above number. I took out one of the advertised free-me contracts and have recieved the most terrible service. The contract was taken at the College Court branch of Telkom in Bloemfontein. The lady I dealt with is called Joyce.

As I am a businessman, I requested them to keep my current number, iow, a simswap. Except for the fact that the lady promised us that we will have an answer as to whether the contract has been approved within 24 Hrs, we had to wait 3 weeks. There is no way to get hold of the branch on the number in the telephonedirectory. In the end I had to drive back to Bloemfontein, I reside in Brandfort, stand in a que going out the door as always. When I asked Joyce why have we not heard anything yet, she said that they said that there was no contactnumber loaded on the system and therefor she could not get hold of us to request same. I then asked her to look at my particulars on the computor. She opened our file and said there is two numbers on the system. I said then why did you not phone me? She could not answer me and said she will resubmit the application.

Low and behold the next morning ten minutes to eight o clock, she phoned to inform me that the contract was approved and that I can just come in to collect the sim. She also said that it would be activated within 24 hrs as well as the simswap.

One day passed, two days passed. From then on, I have been trying to get hold of her to find out what the problem is. Eventually when I got through to the branch, the lady who answered said that Joyce is busy and she will phone me.

She did phone me and said no it will now be actif within 24 hrs. She also gave me a number 081 180 to call if I have any further queries. To date the sim has not been swapped and the above sim is activ although she promised that the old number will be transferred. My old contract is due to expire the end of January and I might stand the chance to loose my number. I phoned the 081180 number, was transferred from one to the other person, only to be told that they can do nothing about the simswap I have to go in to the branch for them to sort this out!

I am totally dissatisfied with the whole telkom experience. With regards to my landline, same has been down since mid December last year. I have reported it twice and till today it is still down. I tried to send a sms request again and it came back saying the fault has already been logged. Therefor the day I went to Telkom to apply for the Free-Me contract, I also gave a month notice to cancel the landline due to the bad service. The contract is expiring the end of the month and the line is still down. However I am very sure, I will be billed for the full month. I feel very agitated about this and the mobile experience is just adding to my disappointment. My landline number is ********** 732. This number has been on my name since approximately 1981.

I would appreciate if you can solve my problem and please revert back to me as to what the sollution to both my problems are. I would also like to know about the rental amount due on the landline, since early December up to now, which I do not have any use of. At this stage I am of the opinion to ignore the account as my requests have been ignored.

Regards

LP LOCHNER

EIENAAR

BRANDFORT ****HUIS

TEL: ********** 041/ ********** 009

FAKS: ********** 009

SELNR: ********** 277
**********

Vusi from Telkom social services phoned today to enquire if our problem has been solved. Although we are still not happy with the whole procedure and the actions of the involved staff, we eventually found out what to do. I want to thank Vusi for her professional, compassionate way in which she spoke to me and having understanding for my frustration. She offered her apologies for our inconvenience and also asked if the problem has been solved, I told her what Abe said, and she explained in detail as to what we must do to get our contract up and running. Well done, and thank you very much Vusi!
