Poor Service From Telkom

Good day

Please be advised that I have had very poor service and irregular debit amounts being debited from my account as Telkom have a policy whereby, if you miss a debit, they charge you an extra premium for administration fees. It all started in Aug 2018, when Telkom agreed that they would debit me on the 1st of every month, however Telkom debited me on the 31 July 18. The debit was not honuored and waited the next month to debit my account. However Telkom didn't debit and sent me the Invoice for the amount of R442.10. In Sept 2018, I paid them the outstanding premiums and waited for the m to debit on the 1st Oct 2018. At that stage they forwarded my Invoice for Sept 18 advising me that I owed them R865.85. That meant that I owed them two premiums plus two outstanding admin fees. I queried this amount and to my surprise they told me that for every debit not honoured, you would need to pay an extra subscription for Admin fees irrespective if you done the payment electronically the very next day. I asked why and they advised me that its company policy. On the 25th Oct 18, Telkom debit my account for R644.80, to my surprise. So I visit the Telkom store in Clearwater, on 28th Oct 2018. I advise them of all the past debits and payments and they advise me that they will debit me the outstanding amount due which is R221.05 on the 1st Nov 2018. I agree and look forward to the debit been requested. Telkom do not debit me on the 1st Nov 2018 and that presents me with same scenario and on the 1st December they debit me for R423.75. I visit the Telkom store on the 1st Dec 2018 and request a sim swap and they can't issue it as the is a hold on my account due to Telkom not receiving their payments. The Consultant in Clearwater advises me that there is nothing he can do but I must plaese contact Telkom on Monday morning to resolve the problem. I contact Telkom on the On line Chat system on the 4th Dec 2018, at 3;35 and get through to the agent, Nompopulelo and explain the process. Nompopulelo calls me back and advises me that my contract states that I only have the contract since the 1st Dec 2018. I advise her that I have the contract since July 2017. She goes back into the history I finds that I'm correct. I advise her that I went to Clearwater mall to enquire on the status of my anniversary date, of the contract, and nobody could assist and they open a case for me to enquire because there were irregularities on my account. Sh advises that she cannot issue a sim swap as there is an oustanding amount on my account. Ithen Question why I was not debited the arrears amount on the 1st Nov 18, as advised by the Clearwater consultant and she says its because my Oct 18 premium wasn't honoured. I then advise her that Telkom does not have the right to go into my Bank account and request various amount from my Bank account due to them not honouring our Contract. The consultant advises me that I must read through my contract where it stipulates the extra charge for admin fees. I confirm that I understood that but I have in writing that Telkom was supposed to debit my account on the 1st Nov 2018, an amount of R221.05 and they didn't request the debit. I advised the consultant that I have the money to pay for the premium, however I now get penalised for Telkom not presented a Debit to my account. Telkom have displayed characteristics of ***** on my account by collecting fictitious amounts from my bank account and now expect me to be penalised for debits that were not presented. I have signed a contract that stipulates that Telkom are to debit me on the 1st of every month and not got into my bank account without my consent on days which they feel than can present debit orders. Anyone or any organisation who collects money from my bank account without my permission is considered to a ********** transaction. I really am very despondent about the poor Quality of Service and the irreguralities without any prior notification. I am not able to use the Service I pay for because Telkom decides when and how they want to debit me.
