Poor service delivery by Telkom

A tree that fell in our street on Saturday, 15 September 2018, pulled the Telkom overhead line down. Several people lost their service due to this, but are still having to pay for landline and ADSL services. Several people have reported this fault and several fault reference numbers have been given, but still Telkom has done nothing about it. They are fortunate that their cable has not been ****** yet as it is just lying on the verge. This incident happened in Kingston road, Escombe, Durban KZN. How long will it take Telkom to merely re-install the cable and restore several customer's services, which they are paying for but not receiving.

It will not take more than 2 hours of their time to restore this fault. Yet they haven't even come to assess the fault.

This is unacceptable, the fault is now 2 weeks old. Yet your account department insists that I continue to pay for the service that doesn't exist. I have a 24 month VDSL contract that costs R1008 per month. I am now expected to pay for no service until Telkom one day decide to repair the fault, only then will they refund me for the period for which I was wirhout any service. It is absolutly ridiculous that Telkom cannot provide a repair date. Especially if I have to continue paying for nothing. I need this issue escalating to the highest possible authority within Telkom, I will still grant Telkom 1 week to resolve this issue after which I will consider legal action against them. This is absolutely pathetic.
