Poor service and *********** staff

Telkom may be the largest telecommunications agent in South Africa but their customer service is ********** to say the least. Incompetence is not knowing what your job entails and giving the wrong information to your customers. Upgrading your internet line should be an easy process, and the consultants should whether or not it should be possible and the conditions based on the Internet exchange stations and the areas it is affected, however half of their consultants don't know what is going on on there systems, they say you can upgrade your line from a 4mb/s line to a 10mb/s then you still get a 4mb line. You phone at least twice and even go to one of there stores and they say that there's should be no problem upgrading your line. They then send a technician ,which we have to pay for, who tells us that we won't be able to get a 10mb line because we are to far from the exchange. Then we phone the customer services again and then they tell us exactly the same thing as the technician. When downgrading the line they want us to wait 21days and they are still charging us for the line. I fail to see how the incompetence of their staff results in providing an unnecessary burden to their customers.

Acc no: ********** 28545

Incompetence and inconvenience one after another, your social team contacted us on the 23rd of July saying he will sort it out by Monday the 25th. He still hasn't contacted us since the 23rd, how can you transfer a dissatisfied customer to a agent who didn't follow up what his supposed to, seriously this is becoming more like a joke than a business.
