Poor customer service from Telkom and it’s Debt collectors

I cancelled my telkom account since the contract has ended . I received a call from debt-in saying my account has been handed over to them by Telkom , when I called telkom they said they put me on a month to month basis and I was supposed to serve a 30 days notice before the contract can be cancelled…I informed them that information was not given to me but it is fine I will pay whatever that is due to them which was R353.70 , I paid that amount to Debt-in and requested for a settlement letter…debt - in now says I owe R1317.48 and when you ask where is that amount coming from they can’t give answers .

the telkom statement indicates the amount due is R353.70 ….this is totally unacceptable and day light *******, this is not how you treat clients when they want to cancel their contracts …you are too quick to hand over clients account to debt collectors without getting in contact with them and informing them the amount due on the accounts. I have been a loyal client to telkom and never missed even one payment only until I cancelled the contract because it has ended and wasn’t aware of the 30 days notice…now you want to blacklist me ..,I paid your debt collectors and they still want more money….this is so unfair
