Poor after Sales service

Good day My name is vuyolwethu Majikijela, a Telkom client as of 2014 to date. I had an unfortunate occurrence over the weekend wherein my phone was ******. I subsequently bought a temporal phone with simcard. I wanted to do a sim swap and thus called the call centre. I was advised to go to the nearest Telkom store. I proceeded to reply and said that I stay in Mount Ayliff and the nearest Telkom store is in Pietermaritzburg or East London and thus I cannot afford to drive there as I don't have the funds to do so. I also had a problem of driving over 400km for something that can be done over the phone if verifying my information. on the Morning of the 07 November 2017 at 06:40, I called again to explain my situation that because I based in a rural area, I am not able to go to the nearest shop to do the sim swap. I was then advised that I must go to my nearest pep, wherein I can be assisted. I proceeded to do that, but when I got to the Mount Ayliff and Kokstad pep stores, I was advised that they donot do sim swap for Telkom. I then called Telkom call centre again at 09h05 to request assistance as my ability to not receive calls hinders on my employability because I have made numerous application to employers and a day without a phone would be disastrous. I pleaded my case again with Mr Menzi Magubane who said I must give him an hour and he will see how he can help me. Until this point he has not reverted to me. I proceeded to call Mr John Resbka at 11:37 to plead that he assist me by any means possible. I was willing to write a representation letter to say I am willing to take the risk of ***** on my account, as long as my cellphone number is re-instated ( ********** 307) and I was willing to email all required documents. I also proposed that he connect me to a store wherein they can assist me remotely and I will furnish they with all necessary documents and answers. This did not bear any fruits and instead he did not show any willingness to help. He indirectly conceded that Telkom has not catered for people living in rural areas and that other networks were breaking the constitution of this country by doing simswap over the phone for people. I have requested your email to escalate this problem for help, failing which I will have to follow other means to ensure that this does not happen to other people living in the rural area. I highlighted that this process will have reputational risk for Telkom and in all my suggestions for help, where not considered, showing disregard for poor people. Your urgent attention to this email will highly be appreciated. Kind regards
