My problem with Telkom is many-fold, but basically (as with most complaints with regard to them) it all comes down to service.

I contacted Telkom in Mid October to plan the movement of my residential phone and adsl line Nov 1st. I was assured that the area I was moving to was supported, and the technicians would plan around a migration at the beginning of October so that interruption to my service would be minimal.

October 1 - the details that my query was logged under were incorrectly captured (after having been logged and re-checked) and are then relogged. I've been issued with a different reference number to the original reference number I was given, AND have been scheduled for installation on the 25th of November.

As a client that relies on the line for personal, business and recreational use, this is unacceptable, especially considering the ample time given for the line move as well as my having very clearly communicated the importance of this move to me personally, and having received a personal guarantee from the call center agent that it would be actioned in the first week of the month.

They're billing me for a month I won't receive any service (November).
Best regards,
