Phantom service - Ghost technicians - Telkom going Supernatural on Technical Service

I am not sure if I should be writing to Telkom, or contact a Priest to do an exorcism, as Telkom appears to now be employing ghosts in their technical repair division.

On October 27th, I called MWEB to find out why my connection keeps dropping. They also manage the ADSL line portion of my Telkom service and within a minute the technical assistant confirmed that my connection was indeed dropping constantly, and he went on to establish that the noise level on my line is near the maximum level and this would cause connections to drop. He went on to log a fault on my behalf with Telkom.

On Saturday, October 29th, I received a text from Telkom. They "noticed" I had technical problems and wanted my feedback on whether or not I would refer family or friends to Telkom, and if I could confirm if the service was restored. The answer to both these questions was NO.

So this morning, I decide to dabble in the dark arts some more, and connect via the online chat function to an agent named Songesizwe (my spelling may be incorrect). First I had to identify myself. Done. Then I asked for a status update on the fault. I waited and the agent came back and asked a reference number. I said I only have the MWEB ref no, but gave it anyway. The agent told me to wait. The agent came back and said there is no fault logged on the system, what is the problem with the line.

So, I start typing into the chatbox what the problem is with the line, and suddenly the agent pops up a message "due to no response I am releasing the chat" and wham, disconnects me on the spot. Supposedly, I should now connect again, repeat the process, and hope that I won't be disconnected again. I do have a rather fast average typing speed, so I am kind of confused as to why it may seem that I take so long to respond. Could it perhaps be because my ADSL service is unstable?

On many previous occasions when logging faults I have noticed that I simply get an sms asking how my experience was when there was no experience to have an opinion on. When I logged billing disputes last year, my disputes simply got deleted without response, but when my attorney followed up Telkom suddenly sat up in their chairs and got something done.

I truly do not feel like going through world war 3, or to visit the local cemetery to find a ghost that will actually not just mark something done and complete when nothing was actually done.

Is there any way that anybody can help me get out of this twilight zone and into a place where Telkom will actually render assistance in resolving this technical problem on my line. PLEASE.

Dear Yazied,

Your private reply, requesting me to submit information by email refers.

I just received the most marvellous update that I posted above.

Yes, Sir. It would truly seem as though Telkom cares about clients and resolving issues.
