Payment rejection fee yet Debit order paid

I changed my banking details for my Telkom contracts on 21 March 2020. on the 31st my debit order goes off, today 6 April 2020 I received my statement. On the statement I have a charge for Payment rejection fee for R 202. How is this possible yet the debit order went off my new account?
