PAYING TELKOM FOR NON-EXISTING SERVICE

We have had intermittent service for both a telephone line and ADSL over a period of about 4 months, Needless to say, for the month that the ADSL was off I had to buy airtime which far exceeded the monthly Telkom ADSL amount. Now I am expected to pay Telkom for that month as well, if not, they will cut the service completely.
Well, fortunately we have a Neotel phone in the house as well, so we could use that for the extended periods that we did not have access to our telephone line.
Why the ****** hell do I still have Telkom as a service provider? They don't even provide the service but insist on payment for that.
I think it is time to investigate other options.
