Paying for non-existing service.
On 24 October 2019 I cancelled my Telkom services (ADSL & telephone). I was told that I had to give 30 days notice which was quite accetable as I had to arrange, through another service provider, for the installation of fibre to my home and this would thus gave given me until 24 November do so. On Monday, 28 October, I discovered that my internet was not working. After spending three days on the telephone with various Telkom employees the actual problem was revealed on Wednesday, 30 October - my ADSL subscription has already been cancelled. When I made them aware of the fact that it is suppose to only be cancelled on 24/11 they undertook to reinstate the service - untill then. Needless to say, a day later and I am still without internet. Does this mean that they expect you to pay for the 30 day notice period without them rendering a service? This is absolutely pathetic - or is this because I did reveal that I do intend to move to another service provider?
