Pathetic wireless service

It seems that those of us in certain areas of Johannesburg are going to be stuck with bad broadband forever. Telkom and the other ISPs are rolling out fibre internet to certain areas in Johannesburg, but we don't seem to qualify because we live in an area that is assumed to be less affluent because its in the Southern Areas. Unfortunately, we don't seem to qualify for Telkom's wireless broadband in our area. Our average property values in our suburb are on a par with those in the Northern Areas, but we are excluded from fibre internet because we're on the \wrong side\" of town. We're then excluded from the LTE deals because we don't qualify. This seems to be based on economic decisions as well. The areas in our vicinity that are in relatively-low income neighbourhoods are given cheap LTE deals, but we don't qualify for these deals.

This is ridiculous- we're messed around on the more expensive fibre internet because of where we live, but then get messed around on the lower cost option for wireless access as well."
