Pathetic service would be paying your staff a compliment...

It seems that every department of Telkom consists predominantly of employees who don't give two hoots about the reputation of the company due to poor customer service. We have upgraded our line from a 4Mbps line to a 10Mbps line at the end of August, yet are experiencing speeds that are slower than before. Telkom allowed the upgrade to be processed knowing that we were not on a line that we were paying for. This, by the way, is in direct breach of the CPA. Something that your sales team seems to completely disregard. A technician was on sight and tested the line and explained that the box that our line is linked to is not capable of handling speeds higher than 4Mbps, however, another box which happens to be closer is capable of 10Mbps. I was told to call and have an order placed and that planning needed to be done in order for a foreign something or the other type of connection to the box with the higher speed that is closer to the premises. One would think that your sales staff especially would be keen on providing the best service possible. I called 10213 (because I was told to do so by the on-sight technician and the faults department) and spoke to Lungile, who asked me to explain my issue, and immediately thereafter says that your systems are offline and that I must call back. When I asked her if she was aware that her system was offline prior to her asking me about my issue, the ***** hung up on me. So I call back, and with my luck, get through to the same ***** Lungile, who doesn't realize that she is speaking to the person she just hung up on. So I start speaking to her and miraculously your systems are fully functional again. It is at this point where she I say to her that I will be escalating to her superior, the fact that she hung up on me. So, this ***** Lungile, starts back-chatting and is very "confused" and "doesn't understand" what I mean when I say that she hung up me. Her English seemed to be good, and I do not know how much further to simplify what I was saying. Irrespective, I wanted to be put through to a superior. She put up quite a contest and was in such disbelief that I could accuse her of such a heinous act of hanging up on me. And in true ***** mentality, Lungile hangs up on me again. I must have confused her so much that she mistook the disconnect button for the volume button on her phone, because a ***** like Lungile from Sales would never do such a dastardly thing to a customer. I call through to 10210 and get through to another agent, Lebo or Londi. So I begin by asking to speak to a supervisor by the name of Lungelo, who by the way seems to be a great chap. So this agent from Faults is not aware of who I'm referring to, and tells me that she will put me back in the queue and I must ask the person who answers to transfer me to Lungelo. So my response is that it doesn't make sense for me to be put into the same queue to ask one of her colleagues to do the same thing that I'm asking her to do. This dumbass says "err, ok, please wait" and then in accordance with Telkom's service delivery that seems to be a norm, the dumbass hangs up on me. I call back and get through to a lady named Ayanda. Unlike the dumbass I spoke to before her, she explained that Lungelo was in a meeting and that she would get him to call me back. I'm aware of this tactic and said that I would wait for him. Ayanda said that it could take a very long time and that I should rather let him call me back. I agreed, although I am fully aware that Telkom first line agents, do not allow for calls to be escalated, and would rather damage your reputation by providing pathetic customer service and hanging up on customers. These are the same people who walk around with a sense of entitlement, who have hardly anything to back them up in terms of integrity, customer service, life s****s, social s****s, but are the ones who will demand the best service for themselves. These assholes fail to realize that a company can be reduced to nothing because of pathetic service, and this is because they have no sense of loyalty to your brand whatsoever. Employees like them do more damage than anything else, and with the poor standing that Telkom seems to be in, as well as with other companies providing much cheaper, stable products, you really do not need ******* like that to represent your company. It was only out of desperation and a lack of competition that kept Telkom on top of the market in which they were the only players. Can you really afford now, with other big names in the industry, to keep on ignoring what your customers are saying about your beyond pathetic service, your poor excuse for customer service and sales staff, your after sales support staff that acts more like a team of blonde ***** receptionists who always lose important messages, or your non-competitive products and "services"?
