Pathetic service of Telkom Phoenix

I took out a mobile contract (HUAWEI P8 Lite) with Telkom Direct (Phoenix Branch) on 16/02/2017. Unfortunately I was away in Cape Town when i experienced problems with the handset, as it was over heating and the battery was not lasting as it should have been. I took the handset into the store on 18/03/17 and booked it in for repairs and was told it would take up to 21 days for the repair.

After 14 days or so I called the customer care to track the repairs and was told to call their repair centre. I called the repair centre and was told they cannot advise on the repairs at the moment.

on 10/04/17 I received an sms stating that my phone will be dispatched to Telkom Phoenix within the next 4 days. I went to the store on 15/04/2017 and was told that their systems were offline and the safe was locked and they need to get in a lock smith so they cannot check if the phone arrived. I was told they would call me.

on 22/04/17 I went to the store again to check for my phone. There was only one consultant in the store and there were 5 people infront of me in the queue. 2 of them left the store due to waiting very long. I spoke to the consultant and asked her if she was the only person available to help and she advised that the another consultant is on lunch. i waited for 1 hour in the queue before being attended to. after 1.5 hours i was told that my phone was not sent to the store and that the person who sent the message to me from the repair centre made a mistake becuase the handset was only sent to the repair centre on 04/04/2017. by this time i was ****ed off and left.

on 24/04/17 I called the repair centre and spoke to Junior who advised that the parcel was sent to the Phoenix branch and he gave me a date of it being signed for and a tracking number. I went to the store just after 5pm and disputed that they were wrong and my handset was delivered to the store to which i was told again that there is no device. I even went on to tell them that i followed up with the repair centre and was told the device was a swop with a new IME number, still they just said it is not there and will speak to the manager on 25/04 to try and track the parcel.

on 25/04/17, I called the courier company myself (Courier IT) and requested a signed waybill which I did receive. the waybill was signed by the person who I took out this contract with (Zaheer). however on 18/03/17 when i sent the phone in for repairs, he advised that his last day at the store would be on 31/03/17. the waybill shows that the parcel was signed for on 12/04/17.

I received a call from Tholakele (from Phoenix branch) on 25/04/17, advising they have the waybill and will escalate the matter further.

So here I am, paying for something I do not have, and the place where I did take out the contract cannot help me. There is hard evidence that the phone was sent back to the store yet no one can help me. The service at the Phoenix branch is disgusting.

There is never a manager at the store, and issues such as this cannot be solved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DISGUSTING AND PATHETIC SERVICE ever received!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
