Pathetic service

So I contact Telkom to do a sim swap on my mothers behalf, and they advise me I’m unable to do it because I need her with me at the store. She is overseas??? What am I supposed to do???? Has anyone else had issues like this before??? It’s f@@king pathetic service from the biggest provider
