Pathetic Network & Service received from Telkom

Over the last few months, 9 months to be exact, my service provider Telkom Mobile has provided me with the most pathetic service you could imagine.

I cannot make calls from my cell phone as the reception is soo poor( Calls dont connect), then eventually when you get through, the person on other side cannot hear a word. Apart from the poor reception and poor call quality , i cannot even send or receive sms due to the pathetic signal !!! so i dont receive my OTP's timesously because of telkom.

I have reported this to the call center a number of times, they mention they will logged the fault , time and time again , however nothing gets done , noone gets back to you. I even decided to visit the gateway telkom store to seek assistance. the store manager suggested i do a sim swop . After paying for the sim swop the issue was still not resolved , and i was told that there is no refund for the sim swop.

I pay an amount of R679 each month , for 8gb data and free calls telkom to telkom. What is the use when i cannot use the data or even make a call if theres an emergency.

The frustration of dealing with Telkom is unbelievable ! I eventually approach the telkom store is gateway to cancel my contract as im paying R679 for a service every month which does not work . The store manager mentioned that i am bound to a contract until next year July. So this means from now until July 2025 i am stuck paying R679 per month for a service i cannot use .

This is outrageous ! and i employ the powers that be to look into my situation as this is daylight ******* and i will be taking this further if not resolved.

i would like my issues to be resolved or simply just cancel my contract immediately without a penalty so i may move on to another service provider, I am willing to blast telkom on all social media platforms if this is not resolved !
