Pathetic

If there was a way to rate this 0 then I would. I did an upgrade of our internet line. This 2 weeks ago and I was told it would take 7 business days.

Call 1 - I called this morning and after waiting 15 minutes to speak to someone. I spoke to Lungile who blatantly told me that she cant help me as there are high call volumes and I must call later. I dropped the line and called back immediately.

Call 2 - Not sure who answered as she didnt want to spell her name. She tried to help me and told me that the line upgrade was out on hold due to an outstanding balance. I assured her that there is no outstanding balance and the upgrade should go through as we planned. She insisted that I call billing to resolve this.

Call 3 - After yet another 15 minutes I got through to billing and after extensive investigation there was no outstanding balance. I dropped the line

Call 4 - Called back again and spoke to Refilwe Malatsi ( employee number: 282185). She advised that we need to follow the authorization process again. I advised that she should go ahead with the upgrade as per usual as this is not my fault that the system put my upgrade on hold. She refused and said that she needs authorization from my wife AGAIN. She would not let me speak to a manager as there was no escalation procedure. She dropped the line

Call 5 - After 15 minutes wait I got through to someone who just dropped the line as I started speaking.

Call 6 - Got through to Archie and he actually assisted me and understood that there was an issue with the system. He solved it and moved forward with our upgrade as this was authorized and agreed to. Which was on call recording. He was the only one who understood this.

The employee's of Telkom that I dealt with except for Archie were totally useless. They did not even attempt to help me. I am a paying customer and I am honestly thinking of moving providers. Telkom needs to wake up and realize that the people they employ are bringing them down. Not trying to be nasty, but there are many people that are looking for jobs and would appreciate it much more.
