Out of Stock - Telkom Agents Passing the Buck from branch to branch

Our Capped internet package expired in November 2017 - despite being advised that we would go onto a month-to-month billing system, we discovered that Telkom had automatically renewed us for another 2 years, without our express knowledge or instruction. We contacted their customer service division in December 2017 and finally in January 2018, we managed to make contact with the one agent in the Customer Service Dept who actually took the time and energy to assist and long story short, the assistant advised that we should rather move across to the new package that they were selling i.e. the 10Mbps line - uncapped - that included a new modem and TV box. All good and well, except our nearest Telkom branch i.e. Baywest Telkom advises that they have had a stockout since November 2017 and that they would not add my name to the list, as it was so long - I must rather go to Walmer Park. The agent at Walmer Park was outraged at the advice given to me by Baywest, and then proceeds to advise that Walmer Park branch has TV boxes etc, but only for their clients - she will also not add my name to this list, and that I must go back to Baywest branch. I tried contacting customer service, only to be advised that they can do nothing for me, as they have had technical difficulties the whole day. How can Telkom sell a package, knowing that they have a stockout situation. Why not advise the various branches so that the problem is not compounded any further. Also, who gives Telkom the right to automatically renew your contract? What happened to the month-to-month billing system as I was advised by them would be the case. We have posted the poor service received on the Telkom Social Media Special Forces facebook page, but they don't even respond. Who do you take the problem up with, as it would appear that nobody at Telkom gives a damn.
