ONLINE CONTRACT APPLICATION A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE

<p>Hi There,</p> <p> </p> <p>I made an online application on the 08.06.17. I received an sms to say someone from Telkom would contact me.</p> <p> </p> <p>Received a call on the 15.06.17(from ********** ), from someone who said they are from telkom and called to verfiy my details, throughout this process I was very sceptical as the agent was very unprofessional. She did not know which device or package I had app**** for. Giving Telkom the benefit of the doubt, I went ahead with verifying my details. And the agent said the contract was approved and that I would be debited shortly. She gave me a reference number A ********** 0.</p> <p> </p> <p>On the 19.06.17, I called into the call centre to follow up on the status of my application as I was not yet debited and I spoke to an agent by the name of Vuyo who said he could not find my details on the system and would call me back on 19.06.17 as they needed to investigate the matter.</p> <p> </p> <p>I did not receive a call so I called into Telkom call centre again today, to follow up and I spoke to a lady who informed me that she can see my online application was made on 08.06.17 but no one from Telkom called me to verify my details, this may have been done by a 3rd party.</p> <p> </p> <p>You can understand my fear, as I have just divulged all my personal details and now I learn that they do not actually work at Telkom. She was not able to confirm if the person who had even called was from a 3rd party so gave me contact numbers for this 3rd party and asked me to call them to follow on the application status.</p> <p> </p> <p>I called through to Cell Direct marketing, and the agent explained that he could not pick up my details on their system and is not able to assist any further.</p> <p> </p> <p>My great concern is that I app**** online via Telkom site and it is the responsibility of Telkom to contact me regarding the contract application, yet they have passed my information onto a 3rd party and now I cannot even track this company, nor my application and I have shared such private information with this person who I dont even know.</p> <p> </p> <p>I need someone from Telkom to contact me URGENTLY to confirm the status of my application and assure me that I was not part of some ****. As my information should never reach anyone except Telkom. I was really sceptical of applying online and sharing such personal details, and this is WHY!</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
