Notice of cancellation of service submitted to Telkom - after having no service - still keep on receiving bills
After having no service at all from Telkom for nearly 3 months, and despite having the "NO SERVICE" reported on at lease 3 occasions: Ref Numbers: ********** 5 and ********** , with no results from Telkom, i have decided to Cancel my Fixed Line with Telkom. On Thursday 25 January 2018, i send an email to ********** informing them that i want to cancel my fixed line service as it has been out of order for nearly 3 months. My application for the cancellation of service was done on the official "Consumer Request for Contract and Service Cancellation" document, .and i have sent the relevant documents required for the cancellation as well. On Thursday 25 January 2018 i have received an "Auto Reply" back from Telkom where Telkom states the following: " we acknowledge receipt of your fixed line Consumer Contract and Services Cancellation Request. Your request will be attended to within 21 business days." I have heard nothing from Telkom; my services was never cancelled; each month i receive a bill from Telkom ; while having no service at all; Telkom pretends as if i have never cancelled my services with them. I have not paid them because i have not received any service. Telkom now handed me over to rpplaw.co.za for summons. This is totally unacceptable.
