NOT WILLING TO HELP AT ALL!
I recently purchased an iPhone 6 on Gumtree for cash and a few months later the phone was blacklisted by Telkom because the original owner failed to pay his contract.

I heard from a friend that he had the same problem and that Vodacom gladly un-blacklisted their phone within 24hrs after submitting an affidavit.

I have been to a Telkom store with a proof of purchase as well as an affidavit and the sales person said on numerous occasions that it shouldn't be a problem and that after 3 days it would be un-blacklisted. it has now been 3 weeks and still nothing after at least 7 visits to the store in Alberton City.
On the most recent visit last week, he then passed the phone to me with a call center agent saying that as long as I have a proof of purchase, they will unlock the device. He said he submitted the documents again and still nothing has been done.

I called Vuli Mtselu from the credit/blacklisting department at Telkom this morning and she said to me these exact words: \there is NOTHING we can do to assist you
