Not dealing with *****

I was a victim of identity ***** at Telkom Direct in Eastrand mall. Someone walke in with my ID book with a different picture in it. The individual also had a bogus payslip and bank statement. I realised that something was up when I received an SMS stating that I am next in line to be helped at the store. I phoned immediately and the lady that answered confirmed that a cell phone contract was just opened on my name. This happened around 16:30 on Monday, 16 January. I took off of work the next day, Tuesday 17 January and I went to the shop and the manager, Lebo, sorted out the problem and assured me that the contract will be cancelled as soon as possible. It will take a week or so, but it will be cancelled. The shop took responsibility for the loss.

I now need to register my ID on www.safps.co.za, because this individual still has a fruadulent copy of my ID. They stated that I need a letter from the shop where the ***** occured and they can then flag my ID for future transactions. I have tried to phone Lebo at the Telkom store for about two days now and today alone I left about 20 missed calls. He did phone me back once, but he cut our conversation short and said he would phone me back. He never did. I have again tried to phone him, but he does not pick up his phone. It is now the close of business.

I cannot proceed with flagging my ID before Lebo issues me with the letter. I am very frustrated as I am worried that the impersonator is still out there with my ID and who knows what he has added to my credit record. I want to get this sorted out as a matter of urgency, but Telkom does not care to correct their error.

As expected....

After having sent all the required documents more than a month ago to stop this *****ulant account and to prevent any financial loss, I woke up this morning to find that the debit order from Telkom Mobile did go through on my bank account. This is dispite me doing all that was required to cancel the account and various promises from Telkom Mobile that the account has been cancelled. Also I am yet to receive their promised cancellation letter confirming this. How long will it take to have the R3 350.20 refunded? Probably 10 years if I am lucky.

Shoking Telkom Mobile! Sort this out as a matter of urgency.

Please

Another notice of a Telkom Mobile debit order received. It has now been 4 months since the ***** was done.

Telkom, I was actually considering opening an account with you at the end of last year, but now, never. Also, everytime I walk into a shop regarding fighting this issue another customer is there with ANOTHER frustrating problem. Who is running this company? Idiots I'd say.

Get it right now and phone me ASAP. **********
