Non-existent Telkom order (***?!)

I appliied for a cellphone contract on Monday and called today for a follow up. The lady went through every process with me, asked for mey details, debut date, banking details, delivery details, went through the T's & C's with me, you name it. I call them this morning to follow up only to my surprise, no order was placed on the system and the phone I asked for s out of stock. This was not mentioned to me AT ALL and I got a reference number and OTP on Monday like everything was fine. Why was this not mentioned? What a waste of time to go through all of that process only to find out that nothing was placed on the system. Incompeteny at its best!!!
