Non-existant Service

I logged a fault on the 28th of April on 10210 - was told by the consultant that I would automatically received a reference number on my cell phone as it was computer generated. I never received the sms. Phoned back on the 29th of April - was told no fault had been logged. Finally received a reference number 17CRK290417. I called on the 1st of May and was told that the techinician had come but it was the wrong address. They had changed our address form 97 to 119 Allan Road - have no idea why. Was told a technician would be sent. We never saw a technician. Phoned on the 4th of May - the call centre told me they would escalate to the fault. Called again on Friday - was told there had been no escalation of the fault. Received an escalation reference number 980020. Was told that on the 2nd of May the fault had been sent to the cable department. On Monday 8th of April - we had the cable technician Mushudu (sp??) come around. He said that there was a break in the cable. He would come back the following day with an expensive machine that would tell him exactly how far the break in the cable was. He told me it was a 30 minute repair job and he had the necessary cable with him. We have not seen him since. When calling the call centre they told me that they were waiting for the cable to be ordered. Spoke to Nkosinathi Mzimela at the call centre in Durban. He was most patient and said that je would send the Ops manager an e-mail to find out when the repair would take place. That was at 8:05am on the 10th of May. Once again we have had no feedback. Phone this morning again - spoke to Bongiwe Nadona at the PE call centre. Her service was inexscusable. Asked to speak to her manager - she said that her manager Zuki Nxele does not speak to customers. Would not provide me with the any other details . She told me to send a complaint e-mail - told her I have no ADSL, she told me to use my phone. I told her that I have no money left for data as I have had to spend thousands of rands on data to try and keep my business going. Her response was to ask someone else to use their phone. I have been promised mutiple times that I would be contacted, informed and everythime I have to use my own airtime to contact the call centre to try an obtain any form of information. I run a business from home - it is suffering from Telkoms lack of service. If I had to treat my customers like I have been treated by Telkom I would go under in a week.

Reviewer Update

After posting the view on Hello Peter I got a reply within 2 hours from the Social Media Team from Telkom. The following day the technicians were on site to assist the cable damage. The following day they installed the cable and on Saturday at 12:00 Mushudu the technician reconnected the line. The service received from the Social Media team far outways any service received from the Call Centre. It is just a pity that I had to resort to Hello Peter to get the service I pay for from Telkom.
