No VDSL Routers in SA

<p>Hi,</p> <p> </p> <p>Shortly my experience in dealing wth Telkom during the last month:</p> <p>24 October: ADSL/Internet down and not working.</p> <p>26 October: Issue logged.</p> <p>3 November: Follow up on the issue, the consultant advises me that the matter will be allocated to a technician as soon as possible.</p> <p>11 November: Follow up on the issue again after more than 2 weeks of waiting, the consultant advises me that the matter will be escalated.</p> <p>17 November: Finally a technician is able to have a look at the issue, and tells me within 10 minutes that it's the router that's broken, and not the line.</p> <p> </p> <p>Barring the time I had to wait for the technician, everything up until this point was still reasonble I suppose, as I could've tested the line using another router.</p> <p> </p> <p>19 November: Visit the Telkom stop in Greenstone to exchange the faulty router. I'm advised that they do not have stock, but will have on Tuesday (22 November).</p> <p>23 November: Visit Telkom Greenstone again, only to be told that they still don't have have stock, don't know when they will get it, and that I should go to another Telkom shop.</p> <p>26 November: Visit the Telkom shop in Eastgate, just to be told once again that they don't have stock - wait for it - nationwide...</p> <p> </p> <p>How the hell do you not have any VDSL routers in te whole of SA???<br />The lady then told me that I should get a mobile wi-fi router, in order them to do a sim swop, and then I should have internet again. But I'm paying for a 40M ADSL line?!?<br /><br />Can you please advise me if and when you will have VDSL routers again, while I contemplate on whether I should pay my account for a service which you cannot provide.<br /><br />Regards,<br />Wikus</p>
