No service from Telkom in repairing faulty landlines

My telkom line has been down for a week now. Reported the fault a week ago, received and sms from Telkom with reference number, and a "Telkom wil endevour to solve the problem within 5 days..." Spoke to another call centre agent 2days ago, who escalated the fault and gave me an escalation reference number all to no avail. Really frustrated as this is always the case with Telkom. How can I get by with a landline without using telkom. Neotel does not cover my area. who else is there? I used to get such good service from Telkom, but the past 2years their service has just gone down the drain. Really frustrating.
