no service for 6 months, given 48 hours to pay!

My line has been faulty for 6 months, & has been restored a few days ago. I have now been notified of an outstanding balance of more than R1000, & have been given 48 hours to pay, otherwise the line will be suspended, & I will be handed over to an attorney, & will be blacklisted. I will also be charged a reconnection fee. This is an outrage. I have spent more than 10 hours over the past few weeks waiting to speak to a consultant listening to low-fi music to get the fault restored, and now face the prospect of spending more time on the phone in the queue to resolve this new issue. Telkom's service has deteriorated over the last few years from quite good to the worst service possible. Everyone I speak to is experiencing one or other problem with the company. Can someone at TELKOM kindly do something about my complaint?
