No service

<div>Good day</div> <div> </div> <div style="font-size: 11.211pt; line-height: 140%;">On Thursday (<a style="font-size: 11.211pt; line-height: 140%;" href="calendar:T2:22/12/2016">22/12/2016</a>) at around <a style="font-size: 11.211pt; line-height: 140%;" href="calendar:T1:15:00">15:00</a> I went to Telkom Highveld Mall Witbank to sign up for a new contract, I decided to take those Free ME 20GB with the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. I was told there was none in Stock, I asked what phone did they have in Stock and was told there is nothing in Stock that I want. I decided to leave the store and go to another network. As I got up to leave he shouted from the back and said they have a black one.</div> <div> </div> <div>The consultants name is Bongani</div> <div> </div> <div style="font-size: 11.211pt; line-height: 140%;">Whilst filling in the paper work he didn't assist me on my questions about the paper work, we was too busy talking to other people in the store. Whilst filling in the paper work I informed him that I want to keep my Vodacom Prepaid number, <a style="font-size: 11.211pt; line-height: 140%;" href="tel: ********** "> ********** </a>. As I continued I asked him when I am finished with the paperwork and my new contract is activated how will the data and minutes be, he told me that my data and minutes and everything else will be full. I asked if there is a pro-rata amount, and was told no. Once everything was done I asked when will my old number be activated on my new telkom contracts he told me it's already been done.</div> <div> </div> <div style="font-size: 11.211pt; line-height: 140%;">When I got to my house I inserted the simcard into my new phone and started will everything, I soon received the following sms:Welcome to Telkom Mobile! Your new number is <a style="font-size: 11.211pt; line-height: 140%;" href="tel: ********** 780"> ********** 780</a>. Start sharing your number with anyone and everyone with 5 FREE SMSs! FREE SMSs will expire in 7 days.</div> <div> </div> <div>I then dialed *188# and received the following sms again: Hello! You have 6600 MB inclusive All Networks data available. 6600 MB will expire on 01/01/2017.</div> <div> </div> <div>Which means that I have not received the full amount of data as explained from the consultant.</div> <div> </div> <div>This had upset me so I went back to the store. The consultants was not in the store at the time, I spoke to another person working there, I explained the situation and he told me he can't help me, and that I must come back when the consultant is back, I then asked if I can speak to the manager and he told me no.</div> <div> </div> <div>As I started leaving the store the consultant to did the contract with me walking into the store, I then started questioning him about my queries. He told me that my number would change in 8 hours, which is acceptable to me. I asked him then about the missing data and he told me that it is pro-rata. I told him that he told me that there is no pro-rata, he told me that I mustn't talk **** to him. I asked him that I want to talk to the manager, he ignored me and didn't reply, I asked repeatedly and he carried on ignoring me and walked away. I asked the other person there and he did the same to me.</div> <div> </div> <div style="font-size: 11.211pt; line-height: 140%;">I returned the store the next day (Friday <a style="font-size: 11.211pt; line-height: 140%;" href="calendar:T7:23/12/2016 15:45">23/12/2016 15:45</a>) I queried about my number that has not changed yet. Which he rep**** to me 'It's not my problem' I once again asked for a manager and was ignored. </div> <div> </div> <div style="font-size: 11.211pt; line-height: 140%;">I went back to the store again <a style="font-size: 11.211pt; line-height: 140%;" href="calendar:T5:today">today</a> (Saturday <a style="font-size: 11.211pt; line-height: 140%;" href="calendar:T7:24/12/2016 10:25">24/12/2016 10:25</a>) and as I approached him he stood up and walked to the back room of the store. Whilst leaving the store we found another gentle man that works in the store as well, same person that said I can't talk to the manager. I explained to him the situation and that I really need my number changed. He told me that they won't assist me because I am being rude, My wife asked if they are refusing me service, which he rep**** by saying yes.</div> <div> </div> <div>What am I suppose to do now? Can someone please assist me?</div> <div> </div> <div>Louwrens Pretorius </div> <div style="font-size: 11.211pt; line-height: 140%;"> </div>

Good day Thokozani I understand completely, but one does get very upset hearing this as my contract was not explained to me this way. Even though it was explained very differently to me, when a customer requests to speak to a manager why is he ignored? I was at another telkom branch today, Mall of Africa, the gentleman there helped me with the upmost respect and decency. My query of the number change was quick and easy, within 2hours my number had changed to the one I requested when I took out my contract in the beginning. My main concern is the consultant at the Highveld Mall brach who is so unhelpful, not knowledgeable of telkom products, rude, arrogant and disrespectful. If this is the way consultants are allowed to treat customers, then I DO NOT want to be a customer of telkom or will I advise anyone else to join the telkom family. Regards. PS. Compliments to Telkom Mall Of Africa
