No router after 3 weeks

Three weeks ago (17Feb) my ADSL router, which is under warranty, was damaged by lighting. I logged a fault, and was told to go to the local Telkom shop for a replacement. I went there, only to be told they had no stock of ADSL routers at all, and I should wriite down my name and they would get back to me. This morning I went back again, as it has been 3 weeks with no feedback. A gentleman asked what my query was, and I told him I needed a replacement router, and he told me to wait in line. When I eventually got to the front of the line, I was told by the lady behind the counter that they still did not have any stock of ADSL routers, in the entire Bloemfontein, and she then proceeded to tell me that, if I wanted to use my ADSL line and service I should just go to a store and buy myself another router at my own expense... even though I am paying for a Telkom router as past of my contract... because they don't know when they will get stock. I just find this completely unacceptable, now having to pay R900 out of pocket to replace a device I pay Telkom for monthly, and that is under warranty. Can Telkom really, in 3 weeks, not supply a large city like Bloemfontein with any routers?
