No return with 3 days of taking up the contract

So I went and took a laptop by contract in Telkom. I took the same laptop as the one I was using and was very happy with it unfortunately it was now 10 years old and already had 2 external drives hence I opted for a new pc.

Instead of taking Acer as my previous laptop I took HP when I got home I realized that it was underperforming. I took it because I wanted to program with it and unfortunately I got the worst experience from it, within 3 days of signing the contract I took the pc back to telkom and they told me they can't take it because it's open.

Frustrating thing is doesn't return policy apply in telkom? They told me they don't sell refurbished stuff that is why they can't accept their laptop back within 3 days of taking up the contract.

They gave me numbers to contact HP of which that number is only used in a case of factory fault, I'm so disappointed in telkom and wish I would not have taken any contract with them
