No response from Telkom - L2TP VPN over LTE blocked
We still awaiting a response from Telkom in regard to the blocking of L2TP VPN connections over the Telkom LTE network. Not even a reference number sent yet?

07 May 2019, 09:22Absolutely Typical! still no response from Telkom again! 4 months down the line..... I did some research myself, to find out that there is an unrestricted APN that allows all traffic both in and out, it stated I needed to contact Telkom technical (or rather not-so-technical) support to get this APN. After 15 mins attempted to explain to the support member what I was looking for, she kept on asking what router I was using, and after I gave that information(which wouldn't make any difference when I was only looking for the APN) She comes back on the line after talking to "only-God-knows-only-who" and asks me to go to settings blah blah blah, which tipped me over from angry to ****ed off! I had explained to her numerous times that I'm a Software Engineer and already known how to use the f***ing router, and just need the APN...... after that complete useless exercise, tried some assumed words for this APN, and you wont guess what the APN is..... "unrestricted" and would you believe it all my VPN's over L2TP now work 100% Now tell me Telkom, what the hell is the purpose of you support team? If any one is reading this, note to get it to work, simply change your APN to "unrestricted" (with no quotes)
