No processes in place

<p>On the 30th June my Samsung S8 got ****** and I reported this to Telkom Mobile on the 3rd July. I received my ITC number and IMEI blocked. Reported the case at the police station and that when my troubles started. The I/O(Investigating Officer) needed to contact Lynden Police Station as they handle ****** phones etc. But the IO decided to do one better, contact Telkom Mobile direct and request a name for someone in the organization to assist as he had to subpoena for information around the IMEI. Is the IMEI changed, still on the same carrier, is there a new number associated to the IMEI etc. This has been an uphill battle as no one in the organization can help him. I had taken it up onto myself to call Telkom Mobile on 180 every second day. The I/O and I were sent from pillar to post. We were sent to the Eastgate walk-in center, sent to Greenstone walk-in center. We even went to the Aegis building in Sunninghill. All along we are told someone will get back to us. Every time! no ever did. Now what I want is all my recordings from the calls I and the I/O made to Telkom Mobile. I can appreciate that this was foreign to ALL the team leaders we spoke with but that should not hinder the investigation. No one at Telkom cares, as long as you pay your monthly installments, they dont care. I am now paying for a phone I don’t have. If it’s the data, then that too I am not using. So what am I paying for. The case has been in limbo because the I/O has exhausted all avenues to assist. I want my recordings from my calls and I will hire a lawyer to assist further. Furthermore, the phone was a rushed or forced sale as I had consulted a lawyer from the onset because I was told that within the cooling off period I can return the device. Guess that was a selling ploy. I have correspondence from my legal adviser who said that was not correct. This has now snowballed into a ****** phone that I initially didn't want and have no recourse from the people that sold it to me.
