No one knows what's going on

I have app**** for a deal on the Telkom online store. I received an sms stating that someone will call me from 012 688 ***X. The sales agent has phoned from that exact number which, according to the sms, belongs to Telkom Online Team. The application was processed and I have received an sms stating that the order has been approved and will be processed shortly.

I have had no word from Telkom since. I've decided to give the 10213 number a call in order for me to obtain a reference number for the application as I have not been given one. The consultant I spoke to advised me that there is nothing on the system for me and that it might be a third party that processed the order on behalf of Telkom. A third party? How? The people that phoned me was from Telkom online.
